Problem statement
Stack AI enables users to create simple one-page forms that feed inputs into an LLM and return outputs. Currently, the form-building experience is limited, and publishing workflows feels constrained. Users can’t easily customize layouts, add different block types, or preview the final experience.
Core Problems Identified:
No drag-and-drop interface for form creation
Limited input/output types and no support for sectioning or descriptive blocks
Lack of branding/metadata options for teams who want polished, white-labeled forms
Frustrating for non-technical workers who rely on intuitive, Microsoft Office–like tools
Solution
Research
Stack AI’s primary audience is non-technical, white-collar professionals in their 40s, such as IT or operations staff who build internal tools for their team.
Key user needs:
Familiar, Office-like interface
Clear preview of the final form before publishing
Easy drag-and-drop customization
Ability to handle multiple input types (text, file, audio, etc.)
Lightweight branding options (logo, name, description)
For market research and competitive analysis I studied leading form and block-based builders to guide my design:
Webflow: Elegant drag-and-drop, inline block controls
Squarespace: Clear separation between editor and published states
Notion: Lightweight, block-based creation
Retool: Strong enterprise feel, but complex—avoid overloading the UI
